Nib Type/Condition and remarks: The original nib was broken, so I upgraded it to a Sheaffer Feather Touch number 5 medium nib.
Condition: This lesser-known Sheaffer is in very good condition. The thin gold fill has worn away on the clip and cap band. During the 30s, Sheaffer experimented with new materials, new manufacturing, and filling systems. They were so concerned about tarnishing the Sheaffer name, they made up new brand names such as, WASP, Vacuum-fil, and others. This is a cool piece of Sheaffer pen history.
